Polished Concrete Garage Floors in Casa Grande

Typical cost in Casa Grande

  • Two-car garage, about 450 sq ft$1,800 – $4,000+
  • Three-car garage, about 650 sq ft$2,600 – $5,200+

Casa Grande Polished Concrete polishes garage floors in Casa Grande, turning a bare builder slab into a ground, hardened and shined floor without a coating. It suits a garage that is also a workshop, a gym or a place to park a project, and it is a choice some owners weigh against an applied coating.

The slab you have sets the result: joints, trowel marks, old stains and oil all matter. We serve Casa Grande, Maricopa and Coolidge.

Garage finishes

Satin polish

A satin finish, level 2, leaves a soft sheen that hides tire dust and light scuffs better than a mirror finish. It needs fewer passes than a higher polish.

Polished, level 3

A polished garage floor reflects the garage door light and shows depth in the concrete. Joints and patches also show more at this level.

Dyed and polished

Before polishing, dye can push a grey slab toward charcoal or a warm tone. The color follows the concrete underneath, so it will not be uniform.

Sealed instead

Grinding and sealing takes fewer steps than polishing and can flatter a cracked, patched or pitted garage slab; that choice has its own page, linked below.

Polished concrete or a coating

Polished concrete is the slab surface refined; a coating is a film applied over a prepared slab. Polishing leaves no film to peel, but the concrete itself is what you see, with its cracks and marks, and it gives you less chemical and stain resistance than a chemical-resistant coating. A garage where batteries are charged or chemicals are handled regularly may suit a coating instead, so say how you use the space.

Neither is better in every garage. Polishing suits an owner who wants to keep the concrete and accept what it looks like.

What happens to a builder garage slab

A garage slab is poured and finished for strength and drainage, not for looks, so expect trowel marks, control joints, hairline cracks and oil spots. Grinding removes the surface layer and some marks, but it does not remove deep stains or close cracks. A small test spot shows the look and tells us how hard the surface is before the whole floor is cut.

Oil, chemicals and wet floors

Polished concrete is not chemical containment. Oil and acids can mark it and should be wiped up promptly. A polished floor can be slippery when wet, because gloss does not tell you how much grip the surface has, so a mat at the door and a conversation about how the floor is used are part of choosing the finish.

Garage floor questions

How much does it cost to polish a garage floor? It depends on the size of the garage, the condition of the slab and the shine level, and a quote follows an inspection.

Is polished concrete better than epoxy for a garage? It depends on use. Polishing keeps the concrete and avoids a film; a coating gives more chemical resistance.

Can you polish an existing garage slab? Yes, after old coatings and stains are dealt with, and what shows afterward depends on the slab.

A mirror finish is optional in a garage: grind and seal concrete floors keeps the effort down by dropping the later passes, while stained and dyed concrete floors adds color to either route. For the rest of what we do, go to the Casa Grande Polished Concrete home page.
